FreeOpenSourceRadar runs a Model Context Protocol server, so an assistant can answer "what is free right now?" with live data instead of a guess.

Endpoint

Streamable HTTP MCP endpoint, no authentication, read only:/mcp

Tools

  • list_free_apis

    Lists the open source projects currently tracked, filterable by source and sorted newest first.

  • search_free_apis

    Full-text search across titles and descriptions of the tracked projects.

  • get_free_api

    Returns one project by its slug, including its GitHub link.

Client configuration

Add the server to any MCP client that supports remote servers:
